The deep darkness of the unknown was located at the bottom of the deepest pit of the ocean. Not many fish live to tell the tale of venturing that far down. Sharks like it because they can catch stupid fish who swim down. And Anglers have a light to use, and they love sneaking up on little frightened fish. This wasn't the deepest part though. But it was close to it. The water was a dark blue that seemed to stretch out for miles. It was like an abyss, sucking you in down and down, trying to steal your life. Strong fish get away. Barely any plants lived here. Actually, no plants at all grew. How could they live? Fish stayed away, knowing there was no good reason to go too far down, for it is the unknown, the malicious, and it must be feared greatly. On this very day, deep down, you couldn't tell what time it was. It was always dark, and cold, and lonely. Sometimes unsocial creatures stay down there to hide from predators or just get away from the living. A dark shape could barely be made out as it darted towards the darkness, a small shape lunging forward before it. It's massive tail fin lashed violently, making mini waves as it slushed and sloshed. It was a great white shark chasing a small fish. It's great body lunged forward, it's rows of razor-sharp teeth closing and clicking together rapidly. Then, the fish was trapped between the teeth, as well as dead. The shark crunched down and swallowed the fish whole. This was part of the cycle of life, and the cycle would be carried on, even in this hellish place. The shark's wide nostrils flared, while it's great fins continued beating against the water. It had had a successful day hunting, and was content. The great white swam deeper, searching for a good place to rest. With great satisfaction, it swam into a newly found-underwater-cave. It rested, hidden behind a rock in case danger struck. This was the dark way of the ocean.
